We're your friends till the end here at Nic, Tys and Videotape

OCTOBER IS HERE! Which means it's time once again for our Spook-isodes, and while this year has been a challenge to say the least, we now have a whole month to try and forget our troubles and celebrate the best of horror cinema.

So with that in mind, THIS WEEK we kick things off by exploring the first film in an often overlooked horror franchise, the gleefully malevolent CHILD'S PLAY!

PLUS, in Talkin Trailers, we take a look at a few new films that will no doubt be getting a spin in the lead up to Halloween, and in What Did You Watch This Week?, Tys gets the ball rolling on a few horror staples, while Nic sneaks in a few wholesome films before the carnage begins!

As always, here are the ways to get in touch with us if you would like to suggest a film for us to talk about, a different topic you would like us to rank, or to ask a question to be featured in our MAILBAG segment:

Thanks as always to Jac D for our artwork and Zac for our rockin' theme music.

NEXT WEEK!!! As part of our October schedule we always like to give a run to one of our favourite segments, Everything Old Is New Again, and this time 'round we're looking at two movies that attack the classic 'cabin in the woods' style horror in very different ways... the splat-stick gore fest EVIL DEAD (1981) and the ultra-serious remake from 2013.

Also discussed: The Craft: Legacy (2020), Vampires vs The Bronx (2020), Monsters Inc (2001), Skyfall (2012), Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), Bats (1999), Ghost Ship (2002), The Dead Zone (1983).
