It's that time again for another SPOOK-ISODE of Nic, Tys and Videotape!! This week, we're talking TWO films, as we bring you Vol #2 of "Everything Old Is New Again", our special series that looks at remakes and the original that inspired it. And for our special October SPOOK-ISODE edition, we're tackling the John Carpenter directed classic THE FOG from 1980, and the 2005 remake starring Smallville's own Tom Welling! Let's just say that one half of this chat is a well rounded discussion on the effectiveness of moody, atmospheric horror when delivered by a master of his craft, and the other half is us recounting our stories of trying to stay awake/sober while watching this awful remake.
ALSO! We've got a plethora of things to talk about (but somehow manage to not really say much of anything) in Talkin' Trailers, Tys reviews the new Netflix horror-comedy directed by McG (ugh) in What Did You Watch This Week?, and while we're Crossing The Streams we get caught in a conversation about the cinematic worth of extreme horror!
