We're back from our week off here at Nic, Tys and Videotape HQ, and now that we're refreshed and recharged, we've decided it's time to get a little theatrical around these parts. It's our first musical, and what better way to warm up the pipes than by discussing the 2005 film adaptation of the worldwide mega-hit musical, RENT! How does a movie about rebellion and youthful indignation feel so out-of-touch? When exactly IS the right time to adapt an incredibly popular musical into a film? Why does everyone look so comfortable and clean despite being hideously poor and suffering from horrible illnesses??? We're just as confused as you are, we can assure you! Do we have the answers? Probably not, but it's fun trying to figure them out anyway...

ALSO! A favourite comic-book character is up to his old tricks again in Talkin' Trailers, we have a big ol' chat about the latest adventures of Thor and Co. in What Did You Watch This Week?, and Tys recommends a little seen comedy starring two of the funniest women on the planet in Crossing The Streams!

As always here are the ways to get in touch with us if you would like to suggest a film for us to talk about, or to ask a question to be featured in our MAILBAG segment:

Thanks as always to Jac D for our artwork and Zac for our rockin' theme music.

NEXT WEEK!!! Stephen King is so hot right now. "But the Spook-isodes are over for this year!" we hear you say, and you'd be correct, interrupting listener! But if there's one thing fans of Stephen King know about him, it's that he is just as at home writing a coming-of-age drama set in small-town Maine, as he is writing the most bone-chilling horror stories.... set in small-town Maine. That's right, we're watching STAND BY ME! Don't miss it.
